Sharda Care Organises Mega Health Drive in Morena

# Senior specialists provide consultations as nearly 1,000 people access health screening and medical services

Morena: Specialist healthcare moved closer to the community in Morena as Sharda Care Healthcity, in association with Rotary Club Chambal, organised a mega health drive that brought together senior doctors, diagnostic screening and consultations for nearly 1,000 people.

Held at Government Excellence Higher Secondary School No. 1 on MS Road, the health drive provided residents an opportunity to undergo a range of health investigations and consult specialists from different medical disciplines at a single location.

The programme included tests such as blood sugar, haemoglobin, blood pressure, ECG, Bone Mineral Density, Neuropathy Test and Pulmonary Function Test.

A major feature of the initiative was the participation of senior specialists from Sharda Care. Dr Anil Sharma, Dr Ahmed Kamal, Director, Kidney Transplant, Dr Kunal Raj Gandhi, Director, Nephrology, Dr Praveen Raman Mishra, Associate Consultant, Cardiac Sciences, Dr Anil Thakvani, Director and Head, Clinical Oncology, Dr Hemkant Verma, Senior Consultant, Surgical Oncology, and Dr Vijay Kumar, Senior Consultant, Geriatric Medicine, provided consultations to people attending the camp.

The range of specialities covered kidney care, nephrology, cardiac sciences, oncology and geriatric medicine, allowing residents to seek expert advice for a variety of health concerns without having to visit multiple facilities.

The initiative also highlighted the importance of early health screening. Tests for blood sugar, blood pressure and other health parameters can help identify concerns that may require further medical evaluation and timely intervention.

For patients advised to seek additional care, the process does not end with the camp. Those requiring further specialist consultation will be guided towards appropriate medical services. Eligible beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat scheme will also be supported in accessing treatment according to their medical needs.

The health drive reflects the importance of extending specialist healthcare beyond established hospital settings and making medical expertise more accessible to communities outside major urban centres.

For Sharda Care, such outreach forms part of its broader healthcare approach of combining specialist expertise with community-level access. Its healthcare network includes tertiary and secondary care capacity, specialist manpower and dedicated infrastructure for health outreach and referrals.

The association with Rotary Club Chambal further strengthened the community outreach component of the programme, bringing together medical expertise and local engagement.

The Morena health drive thus served both as a platform for preventive screening and as a point of access to specialist medical advice, bringing hospital-based expertise closer to the community.

For nearly 1,000 people, the initiative offered an opportunity to check their health, speak directly with specialists and, where required, take the next step towards appropriate medical care.
